Motorists are being advised to take extra care in the area.
Yesterday, there was a cow loose on the M50, with a number of drivers taking snaps of it before it was finally rescued and brought to safety.

Now the animal madness on the roads of Ireland has continued today, with AA Roadwatch this morning advising drivers that a swan is loose on the M6 motorway between Dublin and Galway.
According to the AA, the swan is loose near the Westmeath/Roscommon border, and is on the M6 westbound between Junction 11 Athlone Centre and Junction 12 Roscommon.

We’re not sure if the swan is still hanging about, but be sure to drive carefully if you are in the area.
