A Legend Of A 71-Year-Old Grandmother Passed Her Junior Cert This Week

What a woman.

What a woman.

A grandmother from Co. Limerick has been making the headlines this week after she was one of almost 60,000 people to receive her Junior Cert results on Wednesday.

Pamela Noonan (71) took her exams in the Further Education and Training Centre in June of this year, and was thrilled to reveal she passed the state exams in style.

“I left school very young, I was about 11,” she explained to The Irish Times this week.

“I had no education really because in those days, you didn’t get an education you had to go out to work if you were able to.

“I would give anything before I die to do my Leaving Cert,” the grandmother of 14 continued. “I don’t know if I am foolish or not but I would love to do it.”

What an inspiration!
