In the interest of full transparency, I once went on a date with a young boy I overwhelmingly fancied from Terenure.

I saw him once again years later in a subway station in New York and we did that thing that only the Irish can truly pull off and ignored each other entirely despite our devastatingly close proximity. So, I know what it feels like to be abandoned on a date. That formative experience was the closest I’ve ever been to being stood up and so I to some degree, understand this Twitter users pain. What fathoms me is her tenacity and willingness to share it on the Internet. Mimi Black is a strong woman than most so when her date failed to show up, she documented it all through Snapchat. The Scotswoman took herself off to the sales and stopped by Anne Summers to pick up something stunning. Next, she went to quench her thirst with a Sex on the Beach before heading to McDonalds for a wrap and a Sundae.
