In a heartbreaking plea of old-school love and romance, an 82-year old Cork woman is appealing to the public to track down a lost love letter which was nestled in the contents of a handbag stolen earlier this week.
Cork’s RedFM posted a notice to their Facebook page, asking the public to keep an eye out for the cherished note.
The love letter was given to the elderly woman while she was courting her future husband, and was one of her most precious possessions after he passed away 28-years ago.
After being contact by Emer Cassidy in AIB in Ballincollig, the radio team wrote:

While it’s horrible to think of any elderly woman being targeted by criminals, let’s just hope someone can come forward and return her precious letter.
