Gone be the days of spelling out bacon in text messages, you’ll now be able to show what you mean through the emoji.
There are 72 new emojis on the way and some of them are long overdue. Included in the latest editions are a green sick face emoji, a Pinocchio-inspired emoji, and a face palm one too.

The most important new ones though are the bacon and avocado emojis. How have they waited this long to include them?
According to The Mirror, the Unicode Consortium has approved the new batch of emojis which are due to be released later this month.
