5 fun Father’s Day events happening this weekend

Fit for a Gent: Instead of delicate egg and cress sandwiches, The Morrison Hotel is turning the concept of afternoon tea on its head this Father's Day, serving up thick smoked rashers and hearty cheese with apple chutney, beer sliders, paprika chips and pork skewers. Instead of a cup of breakfast tea, The Gentlemen's Tea (€23) is served with a pint of Wicklow Wolf beer. Fly a Kite in Cork: Bring a kite and head for the Rebel County, where the fourth annual Kitefest will take place on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19 at Millstreet Country Park from 1pm to 5pm. All proceeds from the €20 per car entrance fee will be donated directly to Breakthrough Cancer Research. Pizza for Papa: Milano restaurants nationwide are celebrating dads and their everyday awesomeness with two courses for €13.95. Kids will be kept busy with new ‘My Dad the Hero’ colouring packs while parents dig into dough balls, antipasto and te new Hawaiian pizza. Tour Croker: Dads and grandads go free with a paying adult or child at Croke Park on Father's Day, June 19. Walk in the footsteps of your GAA heroes and go behind-the-scenes at the 82,300 capacity stadium, the third largest in Europe on the free guided tour, from the players’ dressing rooms and lounge to the players’ tunnel.  The tour also stops off in the VIP section and the media centre on the stadium’s top tier and takes in the GAA Museum too. It's first come, first served with hourly tours from 11am to 3pm.
