Love Is In The Air – This is One Very Romantic Irish Proposal

Love is in the air...

Rebecca McKnight

One Irish couple had a day to remember at the Bray Air Display over the weekend, as Noel Canavan asked long-term love Ciara Kavanagh to be his bride in the company of a crowd of 90,000 spectators. The masses had gathered at the 10th annual Display to see the Swiss Air Force aerobatics team. While all eyes were trained skyward, another very special sight was being unfurled.

Aviation fan Noel popped the question via an aerial banner tow across the East Coast skies. Once Ciara said yes, the happy couple were surprised with champagne and a trip to Paris courtesy of CityJet.

According to Braysummerfest.com, Sé Pardy of Simtech Aviation, Director of the Bray Air Display, planned the logistics around the aerial proposal. He said: “When Noel approached us with his romantic idea for the proposal, we were more than happy to help, especially when we heard Noel and Ciara were long-time visitors to the Bray Air Display. It was a wonderful aerial surprise for Ciara and on the air show’s ten year anniversary, we were able to make the event extra special for them both.”
