Feel like a nerd in your specs? You’re about to have the last laugh… because new research proves you’re probably smarter than your perfect vision friends.
In fact if you’re nearsighted, chances are you better start picking out your college courses now… with 53% of college graduates having the condition.
Researchers at the University Medical Centre in Germany examined more than 4,600 Germans aged between 35 and 74 who suffer from nearsightedness.
The results were pretty interesting.
As well as being more likely to stay in school and stay on for higher education, the study published in the journal Ophthalmology found that 53% of those with the eye condition were college graduates, compared to 24% of those who had 20/20 vision.

The news supports previous reports that suggest people who wear glasses appear more intelligent to others – and are more likely to find work.
So if you’re going for that job interview, or want to impress with your stunning wits, then it’s time to throw on some specs.
