2. Do Your Kegels

We’ve all heard of kegels… we’ve also heard sex therapists, midwives and personal trainers raving about the little guys. So what are they? These are exercises that are used to strengthen the pubocoocygeus, or ‘PC’ muscle. The muscle functions as a sort of hammock, supporting the pelvic organs. Kegel exercises can improve sexual function in both men and women, men can prolong ejaculation and women have reported more consistent and better orgasms.

You can do them anywhere. Start with tightening your pelvic muscle, as if you are stopping your pee midstream. Hold for 10 seconds, do three sets of at least 10 reps a day. You’ll have results within weeks.

Squuuueeeeeeeze!

3. Strengthen Your Core

Having a strong core centre to your body can enable you to endure those trickier positions when you’re spending some quality love time with your man. Crunches are a classic core exercise.

Another great one is the quadruped. Start on your hands and knees, with your hands aligned under your shoulders and your knees aligned with your hips. Tighten your tummy and breathe. The lift and straighten your left arm and right leg so that they are level with your spine. Hold for a few seconds, release, and then alternate using your right arm and left leg. You’ll really feel it in your abs.

We’re not talking tantric, just yet… But yoga can increase your flexibility, give you strength, energy and a better sense of balance. Just think how that could improve your sex life… Try the cobbler’s pose to stretch your hip and groin muscles and better your sex life.

Sit with your legs straight out in front of you. Take a deep breath, then with an exhale, bend your knees, drop them out to your sides and pull your ankles in toward your pelvis in a comfortable position. Press the outsides of your feet against the floor and hold each foot in its same-side hand. Sit up tall, imagining a straight line running from the top of your head down your spine to the floor. Try to press your thighs against the floor.

Hold for a few minutes before taking another deep breath, then exhale as you straighten your legs. Phew…. It feels good… and it will make all the difference in the bedroom, or the living room floor, whichever!

Yoga has many benefits, including some for the bedroom!

Toning your bum can only be a good thing. It takes work, but it is worth it. You can improve the appearance of your backside and also improve your sex life… what’s not to like?

Try the squat. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, and squat down as if you’re about to sit in an imaginary chair. Make sure you keep your knees over your toes. When you come back up, squeeze your butt. Try to build up to 20 repetitions.
