While us women will chat about diet fads, healthy eating, tasty recipes and our spinning class disasters, apparently men prefer to keep it to themselves… even though they are experiencing it all too.
A new survey revealed that 31 per cent of men have been on a diet but they have kept it quiet. It seems many men, even today, still see dieting as “something women do”.
A massive figure of over 90 per cent of the men questioned wanted to lose weight but almost one in three would not share that they were dieting with their friends or family.
The results also showed that:
14 per cent of men see diets as something only women do to control their weight,
25 per cent wouldn’t tell their friends or family out of embarrassment,
29 per cent worry that they would be seen as vain.

Men don't share the fact that they're dieting for fear of embarrassment or looking vain...
A total of 76 per cent of the men surveyed said that they wanted to lose weight to boost their own self-confidence and 49 per cent also cited health reasons.
But it looks like men seem to have the same diet problems as us women, 28 per cent of them said they struggle to resist the urge to enjoy a cup of tea without a few biscuits and over a third of them admitted to being unable to control their weight because they love eating chocolate.
I think the lads should speak up! We could definitely share our healthy eating temptations, problems and tips with them!
