Woman complains to police station about their ‘offensive’ breakfast

Ah, fry-ups.

The staple of any decent weekend morning. You got your bacon, you got your sausages, your fried eggs, your boiled eggs, your scrambled eggs, your hash brown, your beans. All the marker of a successful morning meal. As a vegetarian, I know only too well the trials and tribulations associated with watching other people eat their meat-filled fry. However, most of my stress and disgust tends to stem from the fact that I am choosing not to have the fry and therefore, cannot have the fry even though the fry looks and smells delicious. I am the master of my own downfall and I have no right to complain. There is one person, though, who has taken it upon herself to complain about fry-ups... and more specifically, fry-ups when they are shared on Twitter by police forces in Wales. In December, North Wales Police Rural Crime Team took to social media to share a photo of their giant breakfast. It looked pretty nice. https://twitter.com/NWPRuralCrime/status/942698407436673025 Once they shared their photo, a user named Diana replied, stating that the photo may "offend" vegan and vegetarian users. In a now deleted tweet, she wrote:

"Speaking as a tax payer I'd prefer them to be less selective when answering questions and perhaps not post breakfast pics that offend vegetarian/vegan followers - pretty thoughtless considering the job title they have."

The rural crime team, however, were not about to let this go without a fight. They screenshotted the tweet and reposted it to their page with the caption:

"And to finish 2017 I had to post this recent reply about our Twitter account, to show why we are withdrawing from answering questions or comments on Twitter for the time being. "Nothing more I can say really... Happy 2018."
