There’s a new Oktoberfest event with Urban Brewing kicking off in Dublin this week

It's that time of the year and all.

Hey lads, it's officially Autumn - and although that may mean that the weather has turned considerably and we can no longer stroll to work in nothing but a light jacket, the changing of the seasons can also bring us nice things too. We're talking pumpkin spice lattes, crunchy leaves begging to be stepped on, and beer-based events that are sure to make the shorter evenings seem less, well, short. One of those events is Urban Brewing's take on Oktoberfest, kicking off this week and running every evening until the beginning of October. Intrigued? You should be. The event will be offering an array of delicious Bavarian foods, a wide selection of drinks, as well as three special beers brewed specifically for the occasion. There's the Fiestbier, a classic Bavarian style lager that’s light and finishes dry, the Marzen - a malty Bavarian lager with a clean dry finish, and the strong Bavarian Weissbier, a wheat beer with a fruity, phenolic fermentation taste. Or if you happen to be more hungry than thirsty, there'll be a delish Bratwurst sausage and pulled pork shoulder for nibbles. A tasty enough selection. "We're really excited to launch our very own Oktoberfest celebration," says head chef Dan Keane. "My team have worked closely with the brewers to create dishes that are authentically Bavarian and compliment the special brews that have been created especially for this occasion.” Urban Brewing's Oktoberfest kicks off on Wednesday 18th September and runs until Saturday 5th October daily from 4pm.
