Pasta is a simple joy in life. There's honestly nothing better than a big bowl of pasta on a dark, rainy day. Have it with pesto or carbonara sauce and it's one of our favourite meals.
However, it turns out we should be eating a lot less than we are.
Over in the UK, on portion size. For many people, 230g (the middle dish in the picture below) is the average amount people eat in one serving.
Turns out, we should be eating around 180g - which honestly looks kinda miserable (take a look at the first picture).
A new guide is being drawn up in an effort to combat obesity in England - as 10 percent of those surveyed said they would eat around 350g of pasta in one sitting (the last picture).
While we understand we have to be conscious of what we put on our plates; and in turn into our bodies - we have to match our food intake with our lifestyle.
As they always say, at the end of the day it's all about balance.
