A new restaurant has opened in Dublin and their low-carb pizza is the business

Looking for somewhere new to eat this Valentine's/Galentine's Day?

Somewhere that has great cocktails, an extensive menu for even the pickiest of eaters and a doggy greeting you on arrival? Well then, do I have the spot for you. As a self-titled foodie and vibe critic, there's nothing I take more pleasure in doing than sourcing out some new spots that pack both good food and the perfect surrounding for relaxing in. I'm talking well presented, flavoursome food, mood lighting, plush seats and warm tones. Aside from that I look for good, fast service, delicious cocktails and a handy location. So, I'm very pleased to announce that the Mont Hotel's new restaurant The Sin Bin ticks all my boxes. With a convenient location - just on the corner of Clare Street by Merrion Square, The Sin Bin is perfect for a pre or post-match drink, an evening spent watching sport on one of their large TVs or simply, for a 6pm drink and catch-up with friends. A busy spot on a Thursday evening when I headed in for food and drinks, The Sin Bin had a bustling atmosphere but with everyone being attended to (no bar pile-up to be seen TG!) From their food to drink offerings, the choice doesn't disappoint and the staff are not afraid to offer some help in choosing the perfect bite. I decided to avail of their assistance and ended up ordering a Sin Star Martini which was sweet and wonderful alongside a "Gulit Free Pizza" that was low in carbs but not lacking in taste. [caption id="attachment_498890" align="alignnone" width="768"] The Sin Bin's 'Guilt Free' veggie pizza [/caption] [caption id="attachment_498891" align="alignnone" width="768"] Dreamy martini [/caption] The pizza featured green leaf pesto, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, mixed shoots, courgette and parmigiano as well as a crispy thin base which I liberally dunked into garlic dip with every bite (trust me to add back on those cals!) But the pizza was incredible and with a side of focaccia, good company and delicious cocktails, I was content and perched for the night. The staff were also extremely attentive, coming back to the table at various points throughout the night, making sure that we had everything we needed. In terms of pricing, the pizzas varied from €12 - €17, with other dishes on the menu including fish and chips - €17, pulled pork burger - €16.50 and baby back ribs - €16.50, to name a few choices on offer. Cocktails were a little pricey at €11.50 each but totally worth the splurge if it's just one or two token drinks you're after. Overall, I'll definitely be back to eat at The Sin Bin again, from the decor to the food, the friendly staff and the adorable pawfficer, it's a yes from me.
