McDonald’s has invented a chicken breakfast sandwich

If you have ever eaten chicken and waffles, you will have most likely wondered where that combination of crispy fried poultry and sugary sweetness has been all your life.

The combination is proof, if you ever needed it that one great thing combined with another great thing can never be bad, regardless of what anyone else tells you. No, please don't give us examples which you think prove us wrong - they'll actually only prove us even more right. Now, McDonald's have long been masters of only-in-America flavour combinations, and the fast food giant has been right enough times that we've stopped questioning it, even when it does stuff like invent a burger with cheese running through the middle of it. You may be reading this and wondering what it has to do with chicken and waffles. Well, Maccy D's have a new trick up their sleeve which is the closest they have ever come to that glorious marriage. If you've been to one of their American outlets for breakfast, you may have tried the McGriddles - a breakfast sandwich, only with a sweetened pancake/french toast hybrid instead of bread. But a Chicken McGriddle? Dare we dream? This is the point at which we mention we have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that it already exists. The bad news? As you can probably guess, you'll have to travel a long way to get your hands on one, as they're only available in certain parts of the United States at present. Sue Martin, who runs a Florida franchise of the restaurant, told Space Coast Daily that what had previously been a secret menu item is now officially part of the regular selection in the state.

"I’m excited that our customers no longer have to wait for Saturday or Sunday to enjoy brunch in Central Florida—now, they can enjoy the taste of chicken and waffles, on-the-go, all day, every day,” Martin said.

That's right, it's part of their all-day breakfast menu too.
