Lucky Charms are retiring another one of their marshmallows

Things just won't be the same.

For the last ten years, it's been a staple in the Lucky Charms.  But even the most magically delicious breakfast treats have to go through some changes. That's right: the yellow hourglass marshmallow is going to be retired. A spokesperson for General Mills, the company that make the breakfast cereal, told People:

“The hourglass has been a part of Lucky Charms since 2008, but as with any hourglass, its time is up."

When the cereal first launched in 1964, the marshmallows came in just four shapes: green clovers, pink hearts, orange stars and yellow moons. Of those, only the pink heart remains. Lucky Charms confirmed the news across social media this week, urging fans to "grab a box while you still can". According to the company, each of the marshmallows represents one of Lucky's magical powers. The heart gives him the power to bring things to life, while shooting stars enable him to fly and horseshoes let him speed things up. Meanwhile, the clovers give him luck, the blue moons give him the power of invisibility, rainbows let him travel instantly from place to place and allows give him the power to make things float. And there's already been a replacement marshmallow lined up  for the breakfast cereal. But General Mills aren't giving away what it is just yet, telling people that they "have to wait and see".
