One of my favourite things about Christmas is mulled wine.
I love Christmas food in general, especially when it contains lots of cinnamon and spices, but mulled wine is my absolute favourite.
Last Christmas ended up being a bit of a disaster in the mulled wine department as I managed to go the whole holiday season without getting a single glass of it.
I decided that this year, to make sure that I definitely get to have some that I'm going to make my own mulled wine, and if you would like to do the same have a look at this super simple recipe.
Wash the orange & lemon thoroughly.
Cut both of them into small pieces with the skin still on it.
Place them in a pot.
Pour in your bottle of wine.
Gently heat up but do not boil.
Add honey or maple syrup.
Then add sachet of spices or cinnamon sticks.
Serve warm, preferable with a cinnamon stick as decoration.
Why not pair up your mulled wine with one of our many other delicious for the ultimate tasty festive treat.
