Brought to you by Taste of Dublin.
Vive la food révolution.
We love the idea of a delicious brunch on a June Sunday (I mean, what doesn't sound fantastic about that?), but we love it even more when the brunch is part of a huge food-centred event.
I mean, you KNOW the brunch is going to be a good one when it has been specifically chosen for a main brunch experience by people who love all things food-related. Expect some tip top quality brunch right here.
This is exactly the kind of Sunday we're looking for, and we plan to enjoy it this 16 June at the Iveagh Gardens at this year's Taste of Dublin event.
Taste of Dublin will run from and it will be absolutely PACKED with different meals and nibbles to try out.
This year's theme is Vive La Révolution and the point is to celebrate the revolution of the Irish menu. So expect plenty of your favourite classics with some modern and delicious twists. Loads of Ireland's best chefs, both young and experienced, will be at the event and will be creating their dishes by fusing Irish and international cuisine. This is going to be a weekend filled with discoveries and taste explosions.
This year, Taste of Dublin has added a special VIP brunch ticket to the event because, well, brunch is the best. Anyone who avails of this ticket will have full access to all the food stalls and tasters on Sunday as well as getting the VIP experience at Taste, which includes access to the VIP lounge and a glass of champagne. They will also get to enjoy a delish brunch dish from San Lorenzo's along with a Ketel One Bloody Mary cocktail (oh yes).
When you're finished your brunch (if you have any room left), feel free to wander the stalls and have a taste of some of the other amazing options on offer (there will also be plenty of delicious drink options too if you've had your fill of food).
The weekend isn't just about tasting food (though we definitely love that part of it), there will also be different events over the four days, like cooking demos from Irish chefs such as and , just to name a few.
For those who miss out on brunch, there will be an Urban Picnic where you can enjoy a lovely afternoon tea, produced by The Cupcake Bloke.
Aside from the delicious brunch and afternoon tea that we are SO here for, these are some of the other experiences to try out over the weekend:
- handy hacks for cooking with minimal work.
- feel the buzz of Shinbashi, Tokyo's entertainment district, through food, drink, a curated DJ set, and interactive experiences (we can't wait for this!).
- as many botanical soft drinks as you can handle.
- the low-down on all the latest world food trends as well learning more about growing your own stuff.
- tunes, tunes, tunes.
- a perfect time to enjoy a summer BBQ.
- a whole pile of different fusion dishes, with foods from both near and far.
- for the VIPs. Guests are welcomed to the Lounge at Taste with a complimentary crisp Perrier Champagne. Sounds right up our street.
- fashion-themed sweet treats galore. Celebrate the synergy that's shared by both food and fashion. (Holly White makes sure that there's plenty here for the vegans too.)
- 16 June, everyone! Bring your foodie dads along!
- where all the samples are and where we expect you'll spend the vast majority of your day (no judgement though, we're the exact same).
Tickets for this event start at only for general entry and for the VIP brunch pass so banks need not be broken, ladies.
If you want to make a little visit to the Iveagh Gardens for this fabulous event (and why wouldn't you?), are and every day (note: the event closes at 9:30 on Sunday).
Our tummies are ready for this.
