Festival goers can add some much needed heat to the week with this hot dish from Lil Portie. Chef Nick Reynolds describes his menu as "Jamaican cooking with sprinkles of Latin influence". His Shredded Jerk Chicken Tacos, with roast carrot and coconut milk, promise a flavour sensation for the Taste of Dublin crowd.
2 Botanical sushi
For smaller bites (that you can eat more of, obvs) head to the Kettle One kitchen where, on Thursday and Friday, cook and food writer Anna Barnett will be serving some seriously fancy canapés to compliment their botanical spritz cocktails. Choose from the likes of bruschetta with grapefruit and charred red peppers, confit duck with pickled baby beets, and filo pastry tarts with whipped goat's cheese and fried curry leaves. We're eyeing up this 'botanical sushi' which features avocado, chilli pickled onion and black rice with cucumber salsa and wasabi creme fraiche.
3 Vegan cheesecake
If you've been slow to get on the vegan trend, this weekend might be your opportunity to try it out, with an array of dishes on offer across the festival. We reckon that desert is the gateway to loving any type of cuisine, so we're looking to Pleesecakes for a plant-based fix. The UK company – which started life on Dragon's Den – will be offering a Decadent Chocolate Orange cake for €5, as well as some treats from its non-vegan menu at Taste of Dublin.Morning minis #pleesecakesnotcheesecakes pic.twitter.com/P0iDqsEsGp
