Forget avocados… Nigella Lawson thinks THIS is the next big food trend

We love our avocados.

Hell, sure we'd choose them over buying our own houses, right? But in all honesty, we did go mad on the craze and basically put them into any meal we could think of. Well, according to Nigella Lawson, there's a new food trend in town, but we're not quite sure how we feel about it. Say hello to sweet leaf pandan, the next big thing that will be taking over our Instagram feeds.

Nigella told The Times that sweet leaf pandan is the "new matcha" and while it still isn't popular in the UK or Ireland yet, it's after blowing up in America and Asia. "I notice more and more people in America baking with pandan essence. Which comes from that leaf," she said. While Nigella said it's only available in Asian supermarkets at the moment, here are a few inspo pics of what you can whip up with pandan:
