Domino’s Pizza has announced a new contact free delivery service so customers can feel safer when ordering

Even if you have a stockpile of rice and pasta, chances are you're going to need/want to order in some food in the weeks to come.

That goes doubly for people who are required to self isolate and made not have had the chance to fill up their kitchen presses in advance. Thankfully, many restaurants across the country that were previously only eat-in are adding new take-away and delivery services. And existing delivery services are playing their part to help stop the spread of Coronavirus while still looking after their customers too. Domino’s Pizza – which is a massive go-to for us when we need a night off from cooking – has just announced a new 'contact free delivery service' that will help customers to keep socially distanced. In a statement released this afternoon, the chain's CEO David Wild said that "the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues is always our top priority". He went on to outline the new contactless delivery service being offered by every Domino's store across both Ireland and the UK. The service will begin next week, and will not incur an additional charge. Explaining how it will work, the statement said:

"You can select a Contact Free Delivery at the checkout on our app or website when placing your order. Your driver will call you when they arrive to agree where you want your food left. Once the order has been placed in the agreed location, the driver will stay at least two meters away while you collect your order. "To ensure the service is truly contact free, all Contact Free Delivery orders must be pre-paid online or over the phone. Everyone at Domino’s is working tirelessly to ensure we continue to provide you with the level of service and quality you’d expect from us during these challenging times."
