Built on a former Benedictine abbey in the twelfth century building, the present Follina Abbey (1305 Abbot Walter of Lodi - 1335 Abbot Nordio Treviso) shows the typical construction plant with the Latin west facing façade and the apse facing east just as symbolism involved the Cistercian.
