The below recipe makes about ten cups so the gin-lovers in your house are sure to be delighted with this Christmas Day treat.
Here's what you need...
One litre Pressed apple juice
500ml Chinnery Gin
250ml Sweet (red) Vermouth
75ml Llewellyn’s Irish Balsamic Cider Vinegar (optional, but adds a richness of flavour and knocks back some of the apple juice sweetness)
Juice of 3 oranges
Whole cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves, to your taste
One vanilla pod (sliced lengthways)
Here's what to do...
Combine all the ingredients in a pot and warm gently on the stove for 30 minutes.
Don't allow it to boil.
