Emma Budd, 27, was chosen as Aldi’s first-ever Official Beer Taster in 2022.
The beer fanatic impressed judges with her application, in which she explained she loved beer so much.
She also wowed as she had tried locally brewed tipples in 51 countries including Antigua, Mykonos, and St Lucia.
The NHS worker said: “It was a great opportunity to be part of something I have a passion for – a career highlight!
“Being able to taste and share beers ahead of anyone else felt exciting and I loved the variety of flavours on offer.
“I would encourage anyone who has a passion for beer to apply.”
John Curtin, Group Buying Director at ALDI Ireland, said: “We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for beer to sample and review ALDI’s range of craft beer. Ireland has a rich brewing culture so we cannot wait to hear from beer enthusiasts from across the country.
"The winner’s feedback will help us curate and grow our range in line with consumer tastes. We’ve seen the price of a pint steadily increase across Ireland over the past number of years and at ALDI we pride ourselves on offering great quality beers, both Irish and international, at a fraction of the price.
