Just put down your can of Diet Coke?
You might have noticed before by the calorie count, but you won’t need to do any exercise to work off that fizzy drink.
Was it a normal Coke though? According to the Coca-Cola company’s new Work It Out online calculator, you’ll need to go for a half-hour brisk walk if you want to work off the calories from a standard 330ml can.
The company have just launched their calorie and exercise calculator which tells the customer how long it would take to burn off the calories through various types of exercise, everything from spinning to hoovering.
It reveals that a 144 calorie can of Sprite could be worked off in an 18 minute Zumba class, it would take 47 minutes of ballroom dancing, or, if you could face it, 73 whole minutes of ironing.
We’ll take the Zumba.

The online calculator gives several choices of activity to do to burn off any unwanted calories.
The Coca-Cola calculator adds little tips to their exercise suggestions and shows several ways in which you can work off the few calories you picked up along the way.
Coca-Cola UK said: “We want to help people understand how they can enjoy our drinks as part of a healthful balanced diet, whilst communicating the importance of an active lifestyle.”
Even though some are saying the move will be seen as a cynical PR stunt to promote Coca-Cola as a healthy-brand, we’re sure people won’t fall into the trap.
