Now here’s a prize worth singing about!
With thanks to our friends at Warner Music Ireland, we’ve got ten of the hottest albums of 2012 to give away. Whether you’ve had ‘Whistle’ by Flo Rida stuck in your head on a loop, or you’re as obsessed with ‘Primadonna’ as we are, we’ve got you covered. Check out the ten amazing albums we’ve managed to nab – they could be winging their way to you very soon!
Flo Rida – Wild Ones
Hands up, Flo Rida is a TOTAL guilty pleasure for us! We’ve been known to burn up the dancefloor to ‘Wild Ones’ and ‘Good Feeling’, and there’s a collaboration with Jennifer Lopez here that we’re also very fond of.
Marina and The Diamonds – Electra Heart
You can’t turn on the radio these days without hearing ‘Primadonna’. Welsh songstress Marina is one of our favourite breakout acts of the last few years. She’s awesome.
Linkin Park – Living Things
One for rocking out to, we’ve got a copy of the fifth studio album from American rockers Linkin Park. We’ve loved them ever since their 2000 breakout album ‘Hybrid Theory’.
The Black Keys – El Camino
The follow-up to the critically acclaimed and Grammy Award-winning ‘Brothers’, ‘El Camino’ does not disappoint. Use the album to learn all the words, then go see these guys in the 02 this August.
Happy Mondays – Greatest Hits
Like time-travel back to the late 80’s/early 90’s – and no Delorean required. ‘Step On’, ‘Kinky Afro’ and all the other classics on one handy album, suitable for all ’24 Hour Party People’
Bee Gees – Number Ones
Almost too many hits to mention on this one. Strut your stuff to party classics like ‘You Should Be Dancing’ and ‘Staying Alive’, and remember how good ‘Tragedy’ was before Steps came along.
BOB – Strange Clouds
The second studio album from the ‘Magic’ singer. Strange Clouds features the hit single ‘So Good’ as well as Taylor Swift collaboration ‘Both of Us’.
Sean Paul – Tomahawk Technique
More dance floor anthems from the Jamaican responsible for ‘Get Busy’ and ‘We Be Burnin’. Features the Alexis Jordan collaboration ‘Got 2 Luv U’.
Fun – Some Nights
These guys are responsible for one of the biggest hits of the year so far, the monster tune ‘We Are Young’. One of the Her.ie girls thinks this album sounds like the lovechild of Queen and Mumford & Sons, a Very Good Thing indeed!
Santigold – Master Of My Make-Believe
This lady’s fans include Kanye, Jay Z, M.I.A. and Coldplay. Do you really need to know any more than that? Her sophmore album is an absolute joy.
