Olympian tucks into enormous well-deserved McDonald’s feast after Rio exit

He's lovin' it

That’s a lot of food!

While watching the Olympics you probably think to yourself, ‘I wonder what their diets are like?’

Years of training to become one of the best athletes in the world surely takes a lot of hard work and dedication – and a strict diet.

So it’s no wonder that once it’s all over the meal of choice will be something indulgent. But we didn’t expect something quite this big.

Australian badminton player Sawan Serasinghe ended his Rio Olympics journey with a loss to Chinese Taipei on Saturday.

Serasinghe took to Facebook to express his feelings about the loss and his time in Rio:

“Wow what a week it has been in Rio! Have to say I am disappointed about the match today. We definitely had a good chance to stretch the match to three sets towards the end of the second set but couldn’t close it out. We would have loved to end our first Olympic campaign with a win against a much higher ranked pair. Although having said that, there are lots of good things to learn from the matches in the last three days playing against more experienced pairs.

“Can’t wait to go back home to start training and keep on improving! Just want to say thanks again to everyone back home for the on going support. Definitely motivated me to fight hard on court everyday!

“Now it’s time to eat some junk food after months of eating clean!

His post was accompanied by a picture of his massive feast.

If our calculations are correct the Olympian is tucking into six packs of fries, four boxes of chicken nuggets, six burgers and six brownies, and a shake.

We wish he included an ‘after’ picture, because if he managed to finish everything in front of him, he deserves a gold medal.
