McDonald’s Introduce Sweet Potato Fries In Texas

This needs to happen in Ireland.

Cathy Donohue

When it comes to McDonalds, we have our tried and tested favourites (Big Mac meal, McChicken Nuggets et al) but this latest news has made us VERY excited.

The fast food chain has previously only sold sweet potato fries in Australia but they’re now available in Texas.

According to reports, if there’s a positive reaction, the fries are likely to be introduced across the United States.

McDonald’s first rolled out sweet potato fries last September and although it took a year to make it stateside, we’re going to hope they make it to Ireland sooner than that.

If you’re a fan of McDonald’s fries anyway, then this might appeal to you and we can pretend that we’re on some sort of a health kick.

This isn’t the first time the fast food giant has tried something different, previously adding cage-free eggs and organic burgers.

Reports say the brand is experiencing a depression and these options are a way to add variety to the menu.

We just hope the latest addition is soon a thing in Ireland because hello, sweet potato fries all day, errday.
