Wine not?
Many of us have a love-hate relationship with wine.
In my case, I love wine but wine hates me as the hangover I get after a few glasses always pushes me to my limits, making me realise that one or two glasses is more than enough.
Sometimes, that hangover is even worse because I went for a cheap bottle of wine which didn’t even taste that great but at the time, it was doing the job.
If you’re heading out or staying in and want to relax with a bottle of red, white or rosé and want it on the cheap, there’s an easy hack to make your bottle of vino twice as flavourful.
According to Cosmopolitan, a super quick hack to release all the flavours in your wine is to empty the wine into a blender and whizz it around. Yes, really.
The aeration that goes into your wine allows the flavours in it to release and develop more in the 30 seconds a quick blending takes.
However, this isn’t the first time a blending of your wine has been recommended.
Spotted on Good Morning America, the movement of the wine in the blender reportedly softens the compounds that makes wine taste so dry.
“Enthusiasts of blender-based wine decanting put red wine in the blender with the idea that the process ages it five years in 30 seconds.
“Some say that by exposing young wine to so much air it can quickly soften tannins.”
Want a cheap wine to taste much more than it’s worth? Throw it in the blender!
