You can now get Curiously Cinnamon Churros cereal

Sarah McKenna Barry

Healthy breakfasts are over-rated, tbh.

Nestlé has just launched their latest cereal, and it looks ridiculously delicious.

Curiously Cinnamon Churros have arrived in supermarkets and they’re already causing quite a stir.

While they might be a bit too sweet for everyone’s breakfast, this snack looks like it would be tasty any time of the day.

Food bloggers NewFoodsUK and John’s Snack Reviews shared snaps of the brand spanking new cereal boxes on their Instagram pages, and they have us watering at the mouth already.

Curiously Cinnamon Churros are inspired by the delicious continental snack often served throughout Europe. A Spanish treat, your standard churro is dough that’s been fired, rolled into a log and doused in sugar and cinnaomon.

Delicious.

Nestlé’s breakfast cereal aims to recreate that classic taste, though unlike churros, these treats are baked rather than fried.

Makes sense for a breakfast food, I suppose.

Food blogger Helen J Tea generously bought and reviewed the Curiously Cinnamon Churros on her Instagram page.

“Who else agrees that cereal tastes better in the evening?” she wrote.

“Loving these NEW Curiously Cinnamon Churros – the warming cinnamon flavour does remind me of churros and they have mastered the shape!

“Will definitely have to try these with chocolate milk too.”

Such a good call, Helen.

The Churros are already on sale in the UK, although it’s not clear if Irish stores have plans to stock them.

However, hope remains. Those eager to sink their teeth into these bad boys can head to Amazon and order a box online. Prices there start at £8 (€9.27) for a 558g pack.

If those prices seem a little hefty for right now, don’t panic. You can pick yourself up a box of the classic edition – Curiously Cinnamon – from most major Irish supermarkets until the latest innovation hits our shops here.
