Harry Styles kickstarts Adidas Gazelle trend following ‘Love on Tour’ performance

‘Satellite Stompers,’ or more commonly known known as Adidas Gazelles, have seen search volumes increase by 720% in the last month, and by 1933% in the last year, thanks to Harry Styles.

During a recent performance of ‘Satellite‘ on the ‘Love on Tour’ tour, Harry donned a vibrant pair of the Adidas Gazelles, that have been since coined as ‘Satellite Stompers’ following his trademark stomp in the shoe.

This, of course, sent fans of the singer and TikTok users alike into a frenzy, with the hashtag #satellitestompers garnering upwards of 5.6 millions views on the video platform.

‘Satellite’ is a track from his latest album, Harry’s House, and now the name of shoe as Adidas have decided to jump on the trend and officially rename the best-selling trainer in the former 1D member’s honour.

The Gazelle has been worn for decades, in fact they are far from new on the scene.

The sneaker made its debut in the 60s but has seen a 308% reach increase from last year due to Harry’s repeating footwear choices for Love on Tour.

In a recent study, ThreadSpy revealed that Gucci x Adidas Gazelles were hailed as the second hottest shoe of 2023, while Adidas Original Gazelles came in third place, again thanks to the Matilda singer’s influence.

This is likely largely down to the fact that much of the global population are Harry fans, if you are to go by TikTok, where thousands of users have been recording the unboxing of their new Adidas Gazelles across our FYP’s.
