Parents – how much do you remember about the moments your life changed forever? When you learned your family was to become bigger by one? When your darling son or daughter made their arrival in the world? When your child stood on his/her own two feet for the first time?
Being a parent is one of the best jobs in the world, and one of the greatest privileges. It’s a different experience for every woman and man, but the one commonality is that no matter how well-read or researched you are, there is nothing that can truly prepare you for the experience of being a mother or a father.
You may have read all of the books, you may have been to every class, but did you ever truly consider yourself ‘ready’. That roller coaster of emotions is something impossible to explain, unfathomable to describe, and absolutely precious.
Aptaclub Ireland want you to share those memories now. They have asked parents and parents-to-be some insightful questions about their fears, their joy and their experiences, in a tribute to parents everywhere. Some of this might sound familiar…
