New Mum Lucy Kennedy Loses A Stone In Twenty Days With Radical New Diet

Like all new mums Lucy Kennedy has been struggling to shift the stubborn pounds after welcoming her second baby last spring.

However the television presenter has lost nearly a stone by following the strict HCG ‘made-to-measure’ diet.

Users limit their daily intake to just 500 calories and the diet creates a synthetic replication of hormones to help shift the pounds in a short space of time.

Lucy revealed that being in the public eye made her weight more difficult to deal with after giving birth to her daughter Holly last April.

Lucy revealed her new figure earlier this month

“The whole ideas is you take these drops in the morning and the evening and you follow a very strict, 500 calories a day diet for 20 days.

“So the first two days of the 20 are like fat-filled days. I gorged on prawn crackers, cake, whatever I could get my hands on because you’re supposed to fill up.

“But then you’re on this really strict diet for 18 days.

For the first three days of the 18, I was going to bed dreaming of breakfast rolls, but then it’s so doable,” she told The Irish Independent.

The television personality revealed that she followed a strict diet set out by the Hospital Group, cutting out sugar and alcohol for three weeks.

Lucy’s 2fm radio show with Baz Ashmawy was cancelled earlier this year.

Lucy also tucked into low-fat foods like chicken breasts and fruit and vegetables while working out with a personal trainer.

“You do get a baby tummy because you have excess skin that’s so hard to lose in the gym or by cutting out carbs.

“A diet like this targets your stored fat,” she added.

“It’s so nice just to be able to wear nice clothes and feel like me again.”

Lucy is currently on maternity leave after her breakfast show with Baz Ashmawy was cancelled earlier this year.
