Ah, who could forget the morning when the big man in the red suit left us a beautiful talkative friend named Furby or that time he left that web-throwing Spiderman figurine underneath the tree for our little brother (we’re still not sure how he even got on the nice list).
We’re sure it was a magical time for our parents but don’t think that you modern parents have missed out because all of our eighties and nineties favourites are set to make a return this season.

Along with Furby (who seems to have got his hands on some blue hair dye), parents can expect to see the return of the beloved Cabbage Patch Kid, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and even Twister, which has been revamped by pop princess Britney Spears.
According to The Telegraph, Gary Grant, managing director of toy chain The Entertainer revealed that parents want to reconnect with their youth.

“If you look at this year’s list, Cabbage Patch Kids came out 30 years ago, Furbies were 15 years ago, Spiderman is one of the all-time favourite superhero characters and Lego has been around for more than 50 years.
“These kinds of products do have parental approval. If there was a product they had as a kid they will buy it for their kids. We lavish some of our childhood on our own children,” he said.

A spokesperson for Flair, the manufacturer responsible for relaunching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figurines said: “We want to get the dads who were interested then as well as their kids now. There are some dads in their 30s who still have the original figures from the first time.”
We’re looking forward to a holiday season full of nostalgia. We’re banking on a Walkman re-release, so we can channel old school Macauly Culkin in Home Alone.
We’d love to get our hands on one of those bad boys again. In fact, we think ours is still in the attic!
We want Santa to leave us Kevin McAllister’s walkman this Christmas
