Easter Celebrations at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park 

Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is a great family attraction all year round, but this Easter your children will get to enjoy bouncy castles, face painters, balloon making, jugglers, a stilt walker, a fire eater, magician and a puppeteer, all in addition to the fantastic 15th Century Castle and the hugely-enjoyable Folk Park representing Irish life in the 19th century.

Easter Egg Hunt at Westport House

Westport House host their annual Easter weekend egg-stravaganza on 31 March. ??The Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Easter Sunday through the stunning and freshly blooming 450 acres of the estate. The  first 250 kids to complete the hunt will get a complimentary Easter egg as their treasure! Each family that finishes will also be entered to win some great prizes, awarded at 5.30pm on the day. The Hunt is inclusive in the regular admission fee for Westport House & Pirate Adventure Park. So, when you’ve completed that, you can continue the fun with the outdoor amusements, rides, slides and boats – suitable for kids under 12 – as well as a visit to Westport House.

The National Poultry Races 

The area that hosts the National Leprechaun Hunt is ‘laying’ on a day at the races Easter egg style. Open to anything that lays an egg – The Easter National Poultry Races invite the sane and insane to watch chickens, roosters, ducks and geese race to the finish line on the Village Green in the picturesque town of Carlingford on Easter Monday at 2pm. ??International Boyle Sports have partnered with the innovative event and will be on course to accept bets on ‘Chuck, Chuck’, ‘What a Chick’ or ‘Cock a Doodle’ and so many others. Representatives from the Irish National Poultry Health Association have been inspecting the on-going training and overseeing the course preparation. In the event of alternative weather conditions the races will be held at the Dundalk Racecourse – the only all-weather track in Ireland.

Storytelling & Easter Egg Decorating at Wells House & Gardens

Wells House & Gardens invite you & your children to storytelling and Easter Egg decorating on Good Friday – each child will leave with their own individually decorated masterpiece that is their Easter Egg! Takes place hourly from 11am.

The Easter Bunny’s Mysterious Eggsperience Puppet Show at Wells House & Gardens

Everything’s ready for the Easter Sunday deliveries when, out of the blue, the Easter Bunny’s best friend and helper disappears. And so do all the Easter Eggs. Your children’s help is needed! Children will join the hunt for the bunny’s missing buddie and the eggs in thus fun family adventure. Show begins at 2pm.
