Zayn had some pretty harsh words for the One Direction boys in his latest interview

The singer didn’t hold back in his latest interview.

Zayn Malik hasn’t been shy about speaking about the difficulties he faced while in One Direction from 2010 to 2015. Yes, the singer previously admitted that he struggled during his time in the boy band, saying that he and the boys had a rocky relationship despite telling fans in his statement announcing his departure:

“I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall.”

Well, it looks like that’s far from how things have panned out. In Zayn’s most recent interview with GQ, he admitted that he and the boys were never really mates at all.

“I didn’t really, like, make any friends from the band. I just didn’t do it. “It’s not something that I’m afraid to say. "I definitely have issues trusting people.”

Ouch – so the singer is now confirming that he and the boys don’t have a relationship at all anymore. The relationships between the boys seems to have weakened in recent years, with many of them revealing in interviews that they’re not all on speaking terms anymore.

“Our relationships have definitely changed since we were in a band together," Zayn said previously. "But no, I don’t talk to any of them, really.”

So, does this rule out a reunion then?
