Of all the many loves in my life, nothing beats Coronation Street.
The British soap provides solace to many of us, with its episodes containing sharp wit, intricate storylines and a feisty barmaid or two.
Personally, 30 minutes of Corrie is therapy for me and the love lives of the characters on and off the screen provide enough gossip to keep us nosy parkers surviving.
Celebrities from all over the globe queue up to star in the iconic soap, with Status Quo, Les Dennis and more recently, Shayne Ward starring in the hit show.

One Coronation Street star that’s come to our attention is a seriously vintage character.
Fans of the show will remember the husband of long-suffering The Rovers Return’s barmaid Liz McDonald, Jim.

Jim McDonald played by Charles Lawson was an alcoholic, a convict and general troublemaker on Manchester’s most famous cobbles and the actor who played his role is almost unrecognisable in a new video.
Northern Irish actor Charles Lawson starred in a video uploaded on the Love Belfast Facebook page, toasting the Northern Irish football team as they compete in the Euros in France.
The 56-year-old appeared in rather bizarre footage, congratulating the football team for getting through in the tournament.
The ex-Corrie actor seems worlds away from Britain’s most famous street as he toasts the green and white army on their success, holding a glass of whiskey in celebration but the message has left football and Coronation Street fans a little bemused.
In the clip, Charles commends the team for their efforts, singing “We’re the Ulster boys, making all the noise”.
Spectators on Facebook were quick to have a giggle at the football fan’s questionable show of support.
The actor nor the Northern Irish football team have yet commented on the video.
