Blast from the past movie fans - Warner Bros. have announced that they've started work on the new animated movie of The Flintstones.
Warner Bros acquired the rights to the animated classic back in 1996.
They've enlisted Chris Hency to write the new script for the movie with comedian Will Ferrell and Adam McKay serving as producers. No further details about the film have been revealed.
The original cartoon series, that ran from 1960 to 1966, was created by Hanna-Barbera, and featured a modern Stone Age family.
The Flintstones were previously featured on the big screen back in 1994 in an live-action film starring John Goodman, Elizabeth Perkins, Rick Moranis and Rosie O'Donnell - It was followed up by a prequel in 2000.
