X Factor Undergoing “Total Image Overhaul” in Bid to Save Show

The X Factor is said to be undergoing a “total image overhaul” in the hope of boosting ratings. This year’s series has been hit by fixing claims and is suffering in terms of ratings which will only get worse when Strictly Come Dancing makes its proper return in two weeks’ time. This year's judging panel (image: ITV). According to the Daily Star all of the judges and the presenters – Caroline Flack and Olly Murs – have been told by producers to work on their images. An insider told the publication: “While it’s (Strictly) off air for a two-week break, bosses know this is their chance to boost popularity for X Factor.” The launch show of Strictly aired last weekend. “So they’re keen to ensure all eyes are on The X Factor when Strictly returns. It’s like a total image overhaul, they all want to impress.” The question is: is it too little too late?
