This video of Trump trying to hold Melania’s hand is honestly painful to watch

We feel her pain.

In Washington yesterday for French president Emmanuel Macron's visit to the White House, it was crystal clear that Melania Trump was allergic to her husband, President of the United States, Donald Trump. As the pair stood side by side to welcome the French president, Trump attempts and fails and attempts and fails and attempts and finally succeeds to hold Melania's hand (which is clearly against her wish or desire). We don't need to be relationship experts to sense the whiff of tension and ice in the air as this powerful duo put on face for the camera. Captured in MSNBC's coverage yesterday, this video is just painful to watch.

Melania is 100 percent thinking in her head "if I just keep pretending like I don't feel him pawing at my hand, maybe he will get the drift..." But then again, it is Trump so obviously he hadn't a clue. Many have reacted to the video since it was posted yesterday, with one person commenting: "She is thinking 'ew please don't touch me' and this isn't the first time the First Lady has tried to scurry away from Trump's PDA." But we must give her props for her outfit choice yesterday, that belted jacket and hat combo is seriously chic.
