Sky News anchor Kay Burley was left blushing today as she was caught live on air making a comment about a bystander, who is believed to be a campaigner on Scottish independence.
The presenter didn’t realise that her microphone had gone live and ended up calling someone “a bit of a kn*b” as she was talking off-camera.
It is believed that the 53-year-old was referring to a campaigner for Scottish independence as, when the camera returned to her, she stated that members of the campaign were “getting a bit lairy.”

This is not the first time the presenter has been left red-faced over things she has said in the past.
In the aftermath of the Oslo bombing in 2011, she said: “Whatever language you’re listening to, ‘Boom’ probably means the same thing.”
She also reduced Peter Andre to tears during an interview about his children, which resulted in the interview being cut short.
Sky viewers took to Twitter to comment on the slip-up, which the presenter also addressed.
Soz for poor language – never alone with a microphone! Challenging environment 😉
