Katie Waissel has hit out at Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in her column for New! magazine.
The singer, who is now in a band called Red Velvet but appeared on the show back in 2010, has criticised the judge for the second time in a matter of months.
Talking about the weekend’s X Factor action, she revealed that she thinks Fleur East is the only one with “the potential of having a fantastic serious career” before adding that she thought Cheryl’s comments were unfounded.
Cheryl alongside Mel B on Saturday night.
She explained: “Cheryl wasn’t on game this weekend with her comments. I think that her comments towards Fleur were unnecessary about her outfit, why point out something negative? Jealousy! Seriously, Cheryl STOP IT. Ugly doesn’t look good on you.
“And if you do want to make constructive criticism about something, pick something that the contestants can change and work on, rather than blame them on outfit choices the stylists make them wear.”
The 28-year-old then turned her attention to the former Girls Aloud star’s look, writing: “I wasn’t a fan of either Cheryl or Mel’s outfits this week. Cheryl, stop it with the hair extensions! Each week you seem to be adding more and more.”
Take That, in their new form, took to the X Factor stage on Sunday night.
But while Chezza beared the brunt of Katie’s wrath, Take That were also on her list. In fact, she said that they shouldn’t have performed on Sunday night’s show.
“I remember 15 years ago begging my mum to take my sister and I to see them in concert as I was head over heels in love with Mark Owen! Now I look at them and don’t feel nostalgia. Half the band has quit and the rest are middle aged men that are so over the hill that it’s almost embarrassing.”
