X Factor contestants Emily Middlemas and Freddy Parker have been forced to change their song choices last-minute.
Emily’s song was Britney Spears’ Toxic but was forced to change it on Thursday to make it more current.
Speaking to The Sun Online, she explained:
“On Thursday they changed my song. It was Toxic by Britney Spears but they decided to drop it at the last minute.
“The song is dated and because this week is This Is Me [theme] and it just wasn’t right”.

Freddy had more or less the same problem with both him and mentor Nicole agreeing that his original choice wasn’t expressive enough.
He said:
“Mine changed on Thursday, late on Thursday night. I’m really scared about it but I’m happy because there were good reasons why it changed.
“Nicole and I discussed it a lot because we felt like the song wasn’t expressing me. It’s nothing I’ve been doing up to this point”.
Freddy said that he loves his new song and knows it well but understandably, he’s feeling the pressure.
