We’ve just taken the first look at Older Than Ireland, the new feature from award-winning filmmaker Alex Fegan (The Irish Pub), and now all we want to do is go home and visit our grandparents.
The documentary features thirty men and women aged 100 years and over, exploring each centenarian’s journey from their birth at the dawn of Irish independence to their life as a centenarian in modern day Ireland.
The first kiss, when electricity arrived to their homes and the losses of loved ones who have gone before – they’re all up for discussion for this immensely colourful cast of characters. It looks absolutely beautiful.
