He will get a small portion of the agreed fee.
Will Young shocked fans earlier this week when he decided to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing. He didn’t give a detailed reason for leaving the show but explained that he was exiting due to ‘personal reasons’.
He released a statement saying:
“Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons. I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television.”
People have been trying to figure out why he quit the show with rumours spreading that Will quit because he knew he couldn’t win the competiton. Other theories suggested he was in the middle of a family row and that his departure was over the tension on the show with judge Len Goodman.
Either way he’s out of the competition now and unfortunately for him it has some repercussions.
The Sun is claiming that the star has forfeited nearly all of the sign up fee for quitting. It is saying that he will now only receive £5,000 of the £25,000 he agreed to when signing up for the show.
That’s a lot of money to lose.
