This is what we think will happen at Ed Sheeran’s wedding

At the weekend a little rumour began about Ed Sheeran and his girlfriend Cherry and how they are supposedly engaged.

It all stemmed from an interview with Russell Crowe where he name dropped Ed and mentioned Cherry as his 'fiancée'. Headlines began to spread about their engagement, but there has been no confirmation from the main man himself. We do know that Ed and Cherry were childhood sweethearts and rekindled their relationship in 2015. Taylor Swift confirmed the news when she shared a snap of the pair kissing under a banner which read 'happy 1st Ed-iver-Cherry' in July 2016 to mark their one-year anniversary.

So, with the possibility of the engagement we've been thinking about what would happen if they get married, where it would take place and who would be involved. Where would it be? As the pair have known each other since they were young, it makes sense for them to get married at home in Framlingham in Suffolk. Either have the wedding ceremony there or else get married somewhere else and have the afters there. London is also only two hours away so that could be a good option for some swanky hotel for the night time festivities. Who would stand with Ed? Ed would probably have his older brother Matthew as his best man. He has a lot of high-profile friends so it would be a tough choice between James Blunt, Justin Bieber, Johnny McDaid, Harry Styles or even Wayne Rooney for the groomsmen. Who would sing at their wedding? Taylor Swift could cover the music for the ceremony, even going so far as to write a new song especially for the couple. Then come the evening, Elton John could serenade the newlyweds for their first dance. Who wouldn't be invited? There are some obvious choices as to who would be invited to the wedding, like Taylor Swift, but who wouldn't make the cut? Because of Ed's friendship with Taylor we would assume that Calvin Harris wouldn't get an invite, even though Ed and Cherry have hung out with him without Taylor. Ellie Goulding, who previously dated Ed, will more than likely not be getting an invite. She's rumoured to be the inspiration for one of Ed's songs, Don't, where he sings about a girl who cheated on him with his friend while staying at the same hotel. That friend is supposedly Niall Horan, so we can also assume that his invite might get 'lost in the post'. Another person who might not want to be associated with the event is Princess Beatrice, after she accidentally sliced his face open with a sword when pretending to knight him. Ed was sworn to secrecy about that but somehow it got out and left Beatrice with a lot of explaining to do. Miley Cyrus has also made sure she's on the banned list after mouthing the word 'a**hole' to Ed as he went up to collect his MTV VMA a few years back. Either way, we're looking forward to hearing the good news from the happy couple.
