Rumours have been swirling in recent months that Game of Thrones will make its debut on the big screen sometime in the near future.
However, speaking recently, actress Sophie Turner has downplayed what she calls just “rumours”.
She added that the show “was a huge success in IMAX – but I think the reason it was a success is because it’s a TV show and because it’s the first TV show to be done in IMAX.
“It’s just so magnificent,” she continued. “The Battle of Blackwater was incredible on IMAX, and so I don’t know if they would do a movie. I know there’s been rumours going round in the press, but for now, I’m very much content with it being a TV show in IMAX. I think that’s an achievement in itself, so why fix it if it ain’t broke.”
