The X Factor Judging Categories Have Been Revealed

The X Factor judges have finally found out which categories they will mentor on this year's show.  X Factor is in full swing with Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora wading through the nation's talent to find the next big recording star. This year, the category assigned to each judge was left to the public vote, and the results have now been revealed, according to the Daily Star. According to the publication, Cheryl will mentor the groups, Nick the boys, Rita the girls and Simon the Over-25s. Simon, who mentored the same category last year took to Twitter to share his feelings on the matter, and it seems like he is feeling pretty positive

Wasn't the category I was expecting. I did win last year with the Overs so I'm sure we will do great things this year

He did however tweet yesterday to say he would be interested to see how other judges would handle the group.

Great singers in this category, but I would be keen to see how another judge would do with the overs this year!

Although viewership is down on last year, it is shaping up to be a great season with some show-stopping moments already.
