The trailer for Brie Larson’s Unicorn Store is here (and it is just magical)

The trailer for Brie Larson’s “charming” and “heartfelt” directorial debut, Unicorn Store, is here.

And it’s just as magical as the name sounds.

The footage was debuted by Netflix on Friday. Alongside the trailer, they wrote:

“So excited to share the trailer for Unicorn Store, @brielarson‘s directorial debut and an absolutely charming, heartfelt, exploration of the things that drive us and the creativity that adulthood often tries to extinguish.”

The Captain Marvel actress stars as Kit, a young woman who – after failing out of art school and taking a dull office job – feels like she is going nowhere in life.

That all ends up changing when she gets an invitation to a strange and mysterious store that sells “what you need”.

The Salesman (played by Samuel L. Jackson in a bright pink suit) offers her the chance to have it sell her childhood fantasy: a unicorn.

Joan Cusack, Bradley Whitford, Karan Soni and Mamoudou Athie also star in the film.

You can check out the trailer below.

While the movie does reunite the Captain Marvel co-stars – Larsen played Carol Danvers while Jackson played Nick Fury – it actually first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2017.

In January 2019, it was revealed that Netflix had picked up the distribution rights. It will be arriving on the streaming service early next month.

Unicorn Store is out on Netflix on April 5.
