The Ratings For Friday Night’s Late Late Show Are Something Else

Proof that country specials pay off.

Cathy Donohue

When chatting in the office today after the bank holiday, one Her staffer remarked that her mother said last week’s Late Late Show was “the best in a long time”.

It seems half the country had the same opinion as the ratings for Friday’s night show are very impressive with 52% of the available audience tuning in to watch the country special.

Daniel O’Donnell, Philomena Begley and Nathan Carter were some of the music stars in studio chatting to host Ryan Tubridy and there were a few comical moments during the interviews.

Over the course of the show, 1.3 million people tuned in, making it the Late Late Show’s biggest audience of the year so far.

Let’s hope this is a sign of things to come!
